With all the talk about giving during the holiday season, we can lose sight of the simple things in life. I was thinking about what to get a few people remaining on my list for Christmas, and a thought crossed my mind.
This has been a tough year for many people in my life, yet I have been largely unavailable due to my hectic schedule.
Most people don’t need a present once a year, they need your encouragement and support all year long. It’s not new years yet, but I have already decided on a resolution for 2011.
Take time, even if it’s only a few moments a day, to reach out to those in my life who truly matter.
Whether its a quick call, an email, or even a text, something is better than nothing. I have family fighting to keep their house from foreclosure, and friends struggling to keep a relationship together.
No matter how busy you might become over the years, never be too busy to give back to those who got you there.

Thanks, Keith. Good reminder to keep giving all year long. And handwritten notes are a forgotten art.
Agreed. I definitely think society has quickly progressed down a path of informal communication lately. Texting is not for every conversation…
Love it! Unappreciated by most, but to those that care, time is the greatest gift.
Thank you sir!
