Bengal's Jerome Simpson Completes Front-Flip Touchdown Pass
Every so often you see a play in the NFL that just leaves you speechless. For me that moment came today in the second quarter of the Cincinnati Bengal’s game. When on a 19-yard pass from Andy Dalton, Jerome Simpson did a front flip into the end zone that put the Bengals up by a score of 17-0.
It may have also been the most spectacular touchdown pass in recent memory, as he leaped entirely over a Cardinals player, performed a front flip, and landed on his feet in the end zone. Check out the clip, it must be seen to be believed. He could have gone down short of the goal line, instead Simpson decided to get by Washington in style.
Somehow, he ended up pulling off a full front flip over the 6’2 defender and landing on his feet in the end zone. We have all seen players do front flips and insane leaps before in the NFL, but I can’t remember ever seeing a player land on his feet like this, much less in the end zone. I know there is no such thing as style points in the NFL, still you gotta think this is one of the most amazing plays of 2011. Bottom line is Touchdown Bengals!
That catch was flippin sick and even better was that he jumped over the dude and then landed that stuff! I can’t stop watching the front flip!!!!

Of all the teams in the NFL to do this, I can’t believe it’s the Bengals. I’ll give him that the front flip into the end zone was amazing, but most people are forgetting that the Bengals lost the game!
Jerome Simpson might be a great talent, but it doesn’t matter if this team can’t pull a string of wins together and make a deep run into the playoffs. I’m tired of the Bengal’s dealing with flashly players like Chad “Ocho Cinco” who don’t get results. Yeah didn’t he catch some touchdowns and do front/back flips too?
So what if every Bengals player can do a front flip into the end zone, will that get them to the Super Bowl? Nope didn’t think so, so huh it’s a great play didn’t do nothing for me. Gonna be on Sports Center I bet though, call it the Jerome Simpson show “dun nuh nuh nuh…dun nuh nuh nuh!”….

I’d go easy on the Bengals and Simpson, his front flip was the touchdown catch of the year in most people’s opinion.
