Searches for “Keith Brown” are up about 10,000% in the last 24 hours (that’s no joke), so of course I went searching for the cause and didn’t have to look far. It appears another man, also named Keith Brown, has been accussed of doing something very bad. As for the hundreds of people every hour looking for info on this creep, most tend to find your way to this website assuming probably, that he owns it. After the 200th+ visitor this hour who bounced while searching for info, I decided to make a post. Here’s the excerpt from the US Magazine piece, in case this is how you came to looking for me.

“In a Provo, Utah court this afternoon, Keith Brown, the patriarch of the piano quintet known as The 5 Browns, entered a surprise guilty plea on charges that he sexually molested the group’s three adult sisters – Desirae, 32, Deondra, 30, and Melody, 26 — when they were children, reports the Salt Lake City Tribune. Brown’s plea deal covers three offenses — one count first-degree felony sodomy upon a child and two counts of second-degree felony sexual abuse of a child. Sentencing isn’t until March, but the agreement calls for Brown, 55, to spend 10 years to life in prison.”

I am not this man, and in fact don’t even have children. Yet to me, this is just another example of a high profile person not managing their reputation well. When I launched KeithBrown.com a few months back I did all kinds of competitive research on my own name. I found a few businessmen, an entrepreneur, and even a lumberjack. Nowhere in my searches did this guy show up, not for anything even remotely similar. It all goes to show if you don’t have a website, somebody else is going to profit from your name. In this case however, I would have gladly opted out of all the unwanted traffic.
